Ayurvedic Management of Migraine

The hairs normal growth cycle lasts for 2 to 6 years and each hair approximately grows one centimeter (less than half an inch) each month during this phase. About 90% of the hair on the scalp is growing at any one time. About 10% of the hair on scalp, at any one time, is in its resting phase. The resting hair falls out after 2 to 3 months, and the new hair starts to grow in its place.

It is normal to shed few hairs each day as part of the cycle. Nevertheless, some may experience excessive hair loss. It can affect women, men, or children. As the age goes, people tend to lose their hair thickness and amount. About 25% of men start to bald by the time they are 30 years old, and about 2/3rds are either bald or may have a balding pattern by age 60.

we offer a very effective treatment procedure based on the classical texts of Ayurveda. The treatment consists of internal administration of rasayanas and kesh vardhak yogs/dravyas, application of specially formulated powders/oils/packs externally. Panchakarma for detoxification and kaya kalpa therapies for rejuvenation, which not only helps for hair fall prevention but also helps in regrowth of recently, lost hairs.
Apart from medical management, there should be healthy eating, stress control, healthy & balanced diet which are rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals and also a healthy life style are very much important to prevent hair loss.

Treatment:

Process is mainly a Pitta predominant tridoshajanya vyadhi which is all three doshas vitiated disease. Depending on the predominance of dosha, it is divided into following types.

  1. Vataja Khalitya : In this type, scalp (Keshbhoomi) appears as if it is Agnidagdha and it becomes Aruna and Shyava.
  2. Pittaja Khalitya : Here, the colour of scalp looks as Peeta, Neela and Harita. The scalp is enclosed by the Siras (veins). Scalp may have sweat all over.
  3. Kaphaja Khalitya : Here, the scalp colour is more or less of same color but here it is Ghana and Snigdha in appearance and the colour inclines towards whitish tinge.
  4. Sannipataja or Tridoshaja Khalitya : In this type of Khalitya, all the three Doshas characteristics are observed. The scalp looks like burnt and it will have nail like appearance.
